This common scouring agent is ideal to use on cotton yarns, garments and textiles before starting the dyeing process with our natural products. Washing with Soda Ash effectively removes any residual grease & dirt from fibres that have been left behind after their manufacturing process. Using dye on freshly scoured items always produces a stronger color result with your projects.

Safety

Soda ash is a fine powder, so handle it carefully. It is recommended that gloves and a filtering face mask are worn when handling soda ash, since this product can be irritating to skin, eyes and the respiratory tract.
